What is Legacy of Dead
Legacy of Dead is one of Play'n GO's most successful Egyptian slots and a direct descendant of Book of Dead. It keeps the 5-reel, 10-line layout but adds a notably high RTP of 96.58%, which makes it a favourite with players who care about long-term value.
You can learn the game in the Fun Play demo at Zeslots and move on to real stakes whenever you are ready.
If you already know Book of Dead, you will recognise the book, the Egyptian setting and the plain, no-frills base game straight away. The difference shows up once the free spins begin.
Multiple expanding symbols
The Book symbol works as both wild and scatter. Three or more trigger 10 free spins, and before they begin a special expanding symbol is picked at random.
Here is the twist that sets Legacy of Dead apart: during the bonus, more than one symbol can be selected to expand. Even lower-value symbols can become expanding ones, which opens the door to full screens that pay very well. The free spins can also be retriggered.
RTP and volatility
With an RTP of 96.58% and high volatility, this is a slot that rewards patience. The top prize is 5,000x your stake, and it almost always arrives in the free spins with a high-value symbol expanding.
The base game is fairly plain, so smaller euro stakes help your balance last until the books appear.
That high return is the main reason players pick it for long sessions, as long as they are comfortable with high-volatility swings.
